The PRF-3004 is a system that consists of an in-ground radio fence that
allows you to set a training perimeter for your dog with 500 feet of wire and 50
training flags. Our PRF-3004 lets you train your dog in a very easy way, without
so much hassle. The PRF-3004 includes a comfortable nylon collar strap, and the
area of coverage can be expanded to up to 10 acres with the additional purchase
of wires and training flags.
The ultra-light waterproof receiver unit that is associated with an adjustable
collar makes it the biggest hit of our Petsafe PRF-3004. In addition, it is very
easy to use and set within minutes, and there are even tips that you can find
online in case of trouble. It also proves handy whenever the owners are
confronted with minor problems with respect to installation, working and set up.
If you wish, you can even buy the PUL-275 collar, which is sold separately and
is completely compatible with the PRF-3004 system.
The system needs an RFA-67 battery pack, and it includes a test indicator that
will let you know when there is a problem in any troubleshooting process. The
PRF-3004 system comes with a collar that is perfectly compatible with any other
containment system produced by Petsafe.
The success of the in ground pet containment unit totally relies on the product,
the installation and the training that the pet owners offer their pets. Of
course, the main reason why the product is successful is that it delivers clear
and effective results.
Tips on Training Pets with PRF-3004 Fencing System
Always take some time to sit down and draw the desired perimeter rather than
just go and do it on an impulse. The flags that come with the system are
installed so your dog has a visual cue of where the bondaries are. Equip your
dog with a leash and take him to a small tour close to the perimeter so it can
feel it, and make sure to offer him a treat whenever your pet comes back after
you call him right before he crosses the boundaries.
Then turn on the invisible fence and slowly bring your dog close and pull him
back when you hear the tone. The main reason for this is to teach your do what
the appropriate thing to do is when ever he gets close to the wire.
Training sessions have to be constant, and your dog will gradually learn to know
the limits of the fencing, and recognize the danger of going through them; of
course, you also have to reward your pet when its behavior is consistent with
the training. Click on one of the links to see some training videos on how to
properly train your dog to use an invisible fence.
The PRF-3004 is one of the best ways to keep your dog out of danger. It's customazible and can be expanded if you have larger needs. Click on the links to see some videos about the Petsafe PRF-3004.
