He just stops walking and quickly does his thing, are there any signs of when my pup will pee?
My puppy doesn't squat down or go into any sitting position. Ever time i see him pee their is nothing that stands out he just randomly does it but thanks for all the answers. They may later come in handy

That's because all puppies squat and only male dogs lift their legs to pee when they're old enough. It's like comparing toddlers. All toddlers, whether male or female, sit on the potty to use it at first, then when boys are old enough, they learn how to stand to use it. So most likely if the puppy is squatting in a sitting position, he might be peeing.

There are plenty of blacks and chocolates. I've heard chocolates tend to be very hyper while the blacks may be a little more aggressive.

I'm not asking where to get a lab, so please no mentions of the lab rescue or humane society.

actually a lab is a lab no matter the fur color. They all have similar temperaments. What you're hearing is peoples opinions based on the fact that regardless of breeds, each dog still has a mind of its own.
I prefer, no lab, as i'm allergic ;(

Wow, he's got you trained to take him inside if he doesn't want to be inside! That dog is too smart. Which is why this is going to be easy. Take him out. Keep saying whatever command you want to use (mine is "Go potty"). Stay out there until he goes. When he does, praise him like he's found the cure for cancer and give him a treat (I always used a treat that was only for house training). Once he figures out that when you say that command, you want him to eliminate outside, and he gets a treat…well, it'll be smooth sailing from then on. But - you're going to have to put a lot of work into it.

Im sure any dog could be trained to 'point', but buying a dog that has the better instinct would be better, like a Spaniel. I couldn't imagine training a Bulldog to point, lol. Where would he be pointing to? He has no nose (:

I have tried force fetching but when i put it in his mouth he will not hold it. If i hold his mouth on it he will hold it but when i let go he will spit it out. I have tried just throwing something and seeing if he will get it he has no problem going on command or dropping on command he just won't pick up anything in his mouth. NOTE: He is completely obedience trained.

I had a similar problem when doing bumper work with my mix…we do field work for fun and reinforcement. He is a food motivated dog, so-so with toys…in order to do the bumper, I had to get him excited/motivated to want it in the first place…peanut butter worked for me. After smearing on peanut butter or Kong cheese spread, I just played fetch without any commands or forcing…he got into the peanut butter…he did pause to lick it off but I let him, and then he realized if he brought it back to me, I would smear it again. Of course once I got that down I had to wean off the food..but after some work he is doing bumper retrieval well.

It depends, Labs can be prone to several hereditary health problems that can shorten their lifespan either directly or by forcing them to be put down like dysplasia, hypothyroidism, and several diseases that can cause blindness.

Fortunately, "prone" doesn't mean that all or even most Labs suffer from these problems. If she is kept at a healthy weight, given regular exercise, fed a high-quality balanced diet and get routine vet care, I would guess she'll live to be 12-13 years old, and maybe even 14 or 15. Enjoy her while you have her!
