When can labradors and huskies have pups?

I have a female labrador and a male huksy that I'm kind of worried about, because their about five months old. And we don't have enough room for pups and have to wait another couple of months until the vet will see them.
The male has only been here a couple of days. And I'm trying to be responsible for my dogs but the problem is, I'm 16 and don't have a job, so I'm saving allowance to get all this taken care of.

i should mention that getting 2 large breed pups at the same time may not have been the best idea.
but i won't because you're obviously not going to breed them for logical reasons.
just keep them seperaated until one or the other can be altered.
FYI, it's usually cheaper to spay a female BEFORE the first heat.

female dogs usually have their first heat cycle at about 6 months of age, I would recommend keeping them separated if possible until you can get them fixed

its a little to late if shes already pregnant…and if you dont have enough room for pups..again..shoulda thought about that….and theres no way you have to wait a couple of months to see a vet. unless yer sayin you dont have the money..in any of these cases you shoulda had yer dogs fixxed an been a little more responsible.

Females can go into heat as early as 5 months and males can reproduce about the same age. As long as she is not in heat they should be fine, but sometimes dogs will go into silent heats where the owner won't even notice (but the male will). Your best bet honestly would be to see if there is anyway you can get the male neutered, whether it be at another vet or some kind of low cost clinic. It is much easier to neuter than spay so it should be easier to get him in.

Keep the dogs seperated at all costs if you suspect she is in heat, it would be extremely dangerous for her to become pregnant at this age and shelters don't need anymore lab/husky mixes. I should know as an owner of one myself! Good luck! I hope you find a vet quick!

Edit: At 16 you should not be the one being responsible for the vet care of these dogs. Where are your parents? Why are they not taking responsibility for the dogs they purchased? Kudos to you for trying to do what you can, but that's extremely irresponsible for your parents to buy two large breed dogs, leave them unaltered and allow their child to pay for the vet expenses. What if something really awful happened?

she should be at least a year old before having pups two years is better but she can go in heat a lot earlier I can't remember though if it six or nine months old when they first can go int o heat best ask your vet

Why would you have to wait a couple of months? It only takes one mistake and bingo you have puppies.

They are to young to be worried.Your female would not have had her first heat yet.

No dog should be breed under 18 month ever & it's to wait until they are 24 months as they are still considered puppies no matter the breed
