how much would a purebread yellow labrador cost on average?

im looking for a pure healthy non aggresive i can spend anywere from 800-2000 dollars

I dog made out of "bread" would be quite expensive!

Lol, anyway I think you are in the right pricerange. Around 1200 is standard for most great breeders. Since you are probably going to get a pup, here's how to tell a good breeder from a bad one…

-health checks for parents (ask about the hips, eyes, and elbows and ask to see the certificate proving the dog's hips are good). Bad hips are a heartbreak and they are common in shepherds.
-both parents are AKC registered and have a show record (ask to see registry papers). Do not buy a dog that is CKC registered.
-sometimes the father isn't on-site. That's ok, it's actually a sign of a good breeder. A good breeder finds the BEST male to breed their female too. Sometimes the best male isn't on her property, or even in te same state.
-make sure that the mother is friendly. Dogs' personalities take after their mother, not their father, since they spend their early life with the mother.
-make sure the mother is in good health. Her nails should be trimmed and her teeth shouldn't be rotting. She should have a good healthy coat and not be thin.
-a good breeder will screen homes. The breeder will want to check out your family and maybe even your house to make sure you are ready for a puppy. That's a good thing! It shows the breeder cares about the puppies and wants what's best for them.

A good breeder will be more expensive than a bad one, but the money you save on vet bills by getting a healthy puppy will be more than worth it.

Alternately, if you want a cheaper option consider checking into a breed rescue. There are tons of pure labs available for adoption who are friendly and loveable.

That amount should get you a good lab. My son received a black lab as a gift about a decade ago and the cost was reportedly $600.
You sound knowledgeable and serious enough that I'm probably preaching to the choir, but be sure to check out the pedigree. Labs are great dogs but the tendencies to hip dysplasia, seizures and cancer are enough to at least be careful.

If you don't even know BREAD is a bakery product, you WILL get scammed!!!!
QUALITY pureBRED stock is bought from REAL breeders……that amount will get a SHOW QUALITY animal.

Yellow Labs are a dime-a-dozen, for junk stuff. &…. color means nothing.

Go to a labrador rescue. They have purebread dogs; sure you can even find puppies. A young dog might be better though, then you don't have to potty train, but they are still easily trainable. You just have to pay an adoption fee; usually $150-$300. And you will be saving a life!

Most shelters and breed rescue groups charge $100-$150 USD to adopt most dogs. Please consider contacting your closest Lab Rescue group. I adopted 2 labs through the North Carolina Lab Rescue group and couldn't have gotten better. Both had papers. Unfortunately I lost one to cancer a few years ago at the age of 11. The other one (13 now) is the most gentle creature but she has joint problems related to in breeding - she came from the bust of a puppy mill. I wouldn't trade her for anything though. Rescue dogs love you harder cause they don't understand why their people abandoned them. Please save a life.
